Trust Your Coach, Put in the Work, and Keep the Body Healthy

001

Today’s green smoothie with the foam roller in background. Improving T/S mobility and downing my macros all at the same time!

With the increased training volume, I have been feeling ravenous in the AM.  This drink shall surely quench that hunger!

  • Kale (lots of)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • handfull of rasberries
  • 1 Fuji apple
  • 2 cage free organic egg yolks
  • 1 can coconut milk

Training has been improving week to week, GS rewards consistency and if I look back on training videos I can see a difference from just a month ago.  The bump off the chest, slamming the heels, turning off the quads/tris at lockout are all looking better with each session.  GS is also a PRACTICE, just like martial arts or yoga, GS is a long journey.  I am still at that relatively new point where my improvements are week to week or even day to day but there will come a time when I begin to plateau but until then I am having an absolute blast with this adventure!

The idea of competing with the 32s or even the 28s seem unfathomable now but just need to take it one step at a time.  By the way, the idea of achieving CMS at IKFF Nationals in November with the 24s seems very, very far off as well.  Trust your coach, put in the work, keep the body healthy, and the pieces will fall into place!
