AMRAP Fun Time and Green Smoothies

Here is the TWO minute set with the 24’s last night-

Even with my amazing super positive attitude, last nights training was a bear as well.  Feels like I have put on 20lbs over this past holiday weekend.  Time to dial it in BIG TIME.  Want to start adding more greens into my diet and the best way to do that is to bust out the rarely used  Ninja Blender my folks got me for Xmas.  Sorry mom, it will be put to good use I promise!

I plan to go all Dr. Frankenstein and develop the ULTIMATE green smoothie.  IT will aptly be named, “THE HULK.”

mmmmm Health

While I am tempted to try this bad boy out:

I think I will start with something a bit easier to get down while my tastes are adapting.

  • Whole mess of kale (no stems…yet)
  • Orange
  • Apple
  • avocado
  • Greek Yogurt (full fat- no beef with dairy)
  • chia seeds
  • water (play around with amount for right consistency)

Here is what my athletes get to enjoy at tonight’s class

Warm-up

AMRAP (As many rounds as possible) #1 – 10 minutes

  • KB Push Press 5x/arm
  • KB Goblet Squat 10x
  • Swing (hardstyle) 10x
  • Sit-up (butterfly) 10x

5 minute rest

AMRAP #2 – 10 minutes

  • Heavy KB Clean 5x/arm
  • Push-up 5x
  • UBC (Upper Body Complex) 5x
