What a weekend, biked to the Denver Comic Con on Saturday and wandered around looking at all the pretty sights for the day. With the 12 mile bike ride and hours of walking I counted that as my cardio for the day.
It was my first Comic Con and had a BLAST (even if some of the fanboys forgot their deodorant at home), I even commisioned a sketch from Gabriel Hardman that included a certain pulp hero with a certain favorite strength tool (pic of said sketch will be coming soon). Also got to meet my favorite original creator Matt Kindt who was gracious enough to sign and add a sketch to his latest book.
Keri was a CHAMP and happily embraced the geekdom that was the 2013 Denver Comic-Con.
On Sunday I treated at this years Elephant Rock at the American Transplant Foundation tent from 5:30AM to 2PM then headed to the rugby finals and watched LIFE beat Old Puget Sound for the Div 1 Men’s Club Championship, it was a thrilling nail biter, congrats boys!
The very best part of the weekend though was knowing that my mom’s surgery went well and that she is already back home recovering and feeling better!
Tonight’s class I am teaching at Personal Best will be very technique heavy and focusing on the single clean and jerk.

Warm-up: include extra hip mobility, hula exercise and overhead squat with 2x12kg.
Set 1: LC 20kg 2 min, 10 – 11 rpm. rest 2 – 3 min.
Set 2: LC 16kg 6 min, 9 – 11 rpm. rest as needed
Cardio: 25 – 35 min run or 4.5km row
