…well, it was actually a holiday house party that Keri & I went to last night. A few glasses of red wine in and the discussion turned to diet which proved very interesting. It was a very respectful and intelligent conversation between a vegan ultramarathoner and a paleo boulderer. For both of these athletes, they have found a diet/lifestyle that works well for them and their bodies. Nutrition and the latest ‘research’ may always evolve and tip the scales one way or the other but here is a simple formula to get it straight and keep it simple courtesy of my Leadville 100 Top 30 Finisher vegan friend; eat REAL food, practice moderation, and lots of plants. I am 80/20 Paleo, but that is as easy it gets.
