“Into Africa” and Avoiding the Thanksgiving Food Coma

Have just begun listening to Into Africa: The Epic Adventures of Stanley & Livingstone on my iPod.  It is an amazing story about exploration, adventure, and overcoming tremendous  hardship.  The simple act of walking is a pivotal part of the book and it seems fitting to be walking myself while I absorb this fascinating true life tale.

Warm-up: easy run to Chessman Park

Walk 60 minutes, perform 15 six count burpees every 10 minutes.

Cool down: Walk back home, stretch and self myofascial release

This week for Thanksgiving after you binge on turkey and casserole, get outside in the fall air and enjoy a walk.  I promise you will feel better than having a food coma on the couch watching RGIII destroy the cowboys!
